为应对冠状病毒，美国移民局将延长2020年3月30日宣布的回复补件期限的灵活性：
本决定对以下情况适用：
· 要求补件（request for evidence）
· 继续要求取证（N-14）
· 有意拒绝的通知（Notice of Intent to Deny）
· 有意撤消的通知 （Notice to Intent to Revoke）;
· 有意撤消和有意终止区域投资中心的通知 (Notices of Intent to Rescind and Notices of Intent to Terminate regional investment centers)
· 要求重新开放N-400的动议(Motions to Reopen an N-400 Pursuant to 8 CFR 335.5, Receipt of Derogatory Information After Grant;
· N-336表格的提交日期要求，就入籍程序做出决定的听证要求（INA第336条） (Filing date requirements for Form N-336, Request for a Hearing on a Decision in Naturalization Proceedings (Under Section 336 of the INA) ；以及
· I-290B表格，上诉或动议通知书的提交日期要求。

延期对于在发出日期为2020年3月1日至2021年1月1日（含）之间的以上要求有效。

移民局会接受在到正常截止日期到期后60天之内递交的回复材料，
移民局会根据情况的发展提供进一步的更新，并将继续遵循疾病预防控制中心的指导。教育和预防措施是抵抗COVID-19。
